Easy Ways I use to Learn Korean  Culture.

Why Korean? I get a lot of this question from my family and friends. They ask me why did i decide to learn Korean instead of other Culture? And my answer is always “I DONT KNOW!” I just like the culture I guess.

One way I use is by watching Korean shows and movies,  The summer of 2012 is when I started watch the show called “Lie to Me” and that was the first show I watch and made me want to watch more and more and learn everything about the culture, and from there I startred learning the language, 1 crazy thing I have done while watching the drama was to watch a series without subtitle, well I was little lost but a big part of it i understood what was going on. The first word i learned was

Ahn yohng hah sae yoh – which means Hello and it is formal

Also, i started going to Korean stores and restaurants in town. My favorite food in “Bibimbap”

Bibimbap is a Korean dish that is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang (a fermented soybean paste). A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The hot dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating.

Most of the time when I go to these restaurant I try to talk in Korean, and whenever I do it I always get a comment from the server that I have a good accent LOL! It always makes me happy to here that.

Listening to Kpop also helped me though I do not listen a lot like the way I am watching the Dramas but I still love Kpop. my favorite band is Big bang and CN Blue

It feels good whenever I listen to the songs and understand some words from the songs
